 Rum River Electric, Inc. was established in 2004, by two cousins, Shane Pederson and Jared Ranum. Since its inception we have been working together to promote our business. We provide service to the customer that promotes honesty, integrity, and accountability. Rum River Electric, Inc. specializes in custom design/builds for residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Additionally, we provide the expertise and knowledge required to take care of any electrical service repairs needed.

Shane Pederson

After graduating from Northwest Technical College – Moorhead for Construction Electricity, I worked for a contractor in the Fargo-Moorhead area were I worked on many large scale warehouse and manufacturing facilities, a large industrial auto body shop, and several grain elevators in the Red River Valley. In 2001 I moved to the Mille Lacs area where I honed my skills as a residential electrician and continued to develop skills on commercial projects. I have a Master Electrician License from MN Dept. of Labor and Industry and Signals and Lighting Certificate from the MN Dept of Transportation.

Jared Ranum

After I completed the Construction Electricity program at Northwest Technical College- Moorhead, I started my career working for a residential electrical contractor as an apprentice. Later I switched to a larger electrical contractor in Moorhead that specialized in commercial work. There I worked on several new McDonald’s and Applebee’s along with numerous other projects such as mini mall build outs, office buildings, retail stores, restaurants and service work. I carry a Master Electrician License in both North Dakota and Minnesota along with the Signal and Lighting Certificate with the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
